Anirban Basu is Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc., an economic and policy consulting firm headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland with an office in Indonesia. The firm provides strategic analytical services to energy suppliers, law firms, medical systems, government agencies, and real estate developers among others. In 2014, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan appointed him Chair of the Maryland Economic Development Commission. He also serves as chairman of the Baltimore County Economic Advisory Committee. He is also the Chief Economist to Associated Builders and Contractors and Chief Economic Advisor to the Construction Financial Management Association. He serves or has served similar functions for Visit Baltimore, Maryland Realtors, and Marcum, LLC. He lectures at Johns Hopkins University in Global Strategy and has also taught international economics, urban economics, micro- and macroeconomics at Hopkins. His radio show can be heard weekdays on 88.1FM, WYPR, Baltimore. In both 2007 and 2016, the Daily Record newspaper selected Mr. Basu as one of Maryland’s 50 most influential people. The Baltimore Business Journal named him one of the region’s 20 most powerful business leaders in 2010. Mr. Basu has been on many boards over time, including First Mariner Bank, the Baltimore City Public School System, Port Discovery, the Baltimore School for the Arts, and Union Memorial Hospital. He is currently on the boards of the University of Maryland School of Law, St. Mary’s College, the University System of Maryland Foundation, the Center for Emerging Media, the Lyric Opera House and the Archdiocese of Baltimore School System. Mr. Basu earned his B.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University in 1990. He earned his Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and his Master’s in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. His Juris Doctor was earned at the University of Maryland School of Law. His doctoral work was completed at UMBC with a concentration in health economics.
Melissa Ellis is a co-owner of Systems Management Enterprises, Inc. (SME). SME is a Virginia based Information Technology and Security Company providing data center services, managed security, compliance solutions, and technical support to businesses nationwide. Melissa has worked with businesses in the financial, medical, government, and professional services industries in a support and training role. Over the last several years she has specifically worked within these industries on compliance initiatives and provided security awareness training. Melissa’s background includes studying Criminal Justice at Radford University and obtaining a better understanding of compliance by becoming a CHP. Melissa most recently continued her education by becoming a Certified Security Awareness Practitioner, CSAP. Over the last several years Melissa has put together security awareness training programs to educate end users on the ongoing cyber risks they face every day. Melissa is passionate about arming end users with knowledge and providing confidence in their day-to-day decision making to prevent a cyber-attack.
Known by many as the Tax Lady, she is often described as one of the most engaging, fun and informative teachers and lecturers in the Greater D.C. Metropolitan Region. Linda de Marlor is revered all over the region for her intricate tax knowledge and fun-filled approach to taxes.
She has been a prominent figure in the area since the 80’s and was speaking regularly on local T.V. and radio stations. She has appeared on C-Span and regularly teaches for various real estate offices and professional organizations throughout the region.
Steve Weiler is a 30+ year veteran of the real estate industry. Steve has been an award-winning real estate agent and manager. As a manager he helped coach the success of 8 agents who ranked among the top 10 in their local Association of Realtors for greatest number of transactions, listings sold or dollar volume in a year. For several years in a row, both the number 1 listing agent in Montgomery County, Maryland and the number 1 listing agent in Washington D.C. worked with Steve out of the same office. Many very successful agents, managers and broker/owners today got their start working with Steve. He has always enjoyed sharing, teaching and coaching his colleagues in the industry. Steve is a graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park, MD as well as a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI). Additionally, he has obtained the CRS designation as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) by the Realtors National Marketing Institute and numerous other real estate specific designations. For over 34 years, Mike has been practicing law, focusing on real estate law matters, and conducting settlements throughout the MD, DC and VA markets. Mike has taught hundreds of Continuing Education courses throughout Maryland, DC and Virginia for realtors over his career, focusing not only on the legal aspects of the course content, but focusing on the practical applications and how realtors can use this information in the course to better support their clients’ needs and help them and their clients achieve success in their transactions. He has focused his career in efforts to help realtors grow their business. Mike has been a licensed attorney in Maryland since 1985. Mike has held leadership roles in law firms and title agencies over his 32‐year career, including leadership roles in Ridgway and Griffin, Chartered, and Universal Title, a large regional title agency serving MD, DC and VA. Mike is currently the CEO, President and majority owner of Community Title Network, LLC, a title agency which provides residential and commercial settlement services in MD, DC, VA, and DE. He is also the Managing Member in the Ridgway Law Group, LLC which focuses its practice on providing legal assistance in real estate transactions and matters.
Kevin joins the Community team with experience as a settlement attorney in the District of Columbia handling both residential and commercial settlements in a high volume, fast-paced, and dynamic professional environment. Kevin has spent significant time developing personal relationships within the real estate business community and is known for his creative problem-solving skills and his ability to provide customers and clients with practical solutions tailored to their individual needs.
Kevin is also an active member of the D.C. arts community and an accomplished audio engineer. He has recorded major label artists such as One Direction and composed music for film and television including MTV and E!. Kevin is a graduate of Gonzaga College High School, the University of Maryland at College Park, and the Catholic University Columbus School of Law. Kevin is a member of the District of Columbia and the Maryland Bar and a licensed title producer in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. Kevin is currently licensed to teach in DC, MD and VA.

Over his career, Christopher has handled thousands of real estate settlements. Prior to joining Community Title Network, Christopher served clients and real estate professionals as manager of a branch office for a large title company in Capitol Hill. Christopher is a graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School, Hobart College, and the Catholic University School of Law. Josh joins the Community Title Network team in our DC and Kensington offices after practicing as a securities regulatory attorney at two AmLaw Top 200 firms. Using his experience, Josh finds creative and practical solutions to assist his customers and clients with the purchase, sale, and refinance of residential and commercial properties. Josh is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio) and University of Miami School of Law (with honors). When he is not assisting clients, Josh loves traveling, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
